 BREAKING: Soldiers Clash with Armed Group in Intense Battle in Abia State


A violent confrontation is ongoing between the Nigerian Army and an unidentified armed group in Mbata, Umuchima Village, Isiala Ngwa North Local Government Area, Abia State.


Reports reveal that over 15 Hilux vehicles and armored units from the Nigerian Army stormed the area early this morning, around 6 a.m., targeting a camp of the armed group near the river bordering Abia and Mbaise in Imo State.


The army has reportedly taken control of all junctions leading to and from the village, while heavy gunfire continues in the nearby bush. The situation remains tense as sporadic gunshots can still be heard at the time of this report.
