The Growing Threat: Kidnappings on Nigeria's Highways

The Growing Threat: Kidnappings on Nigeria's Highways Rising Cases of Kidnappings In recent years, Nigeria has been grappling with a concerning surge in kidnappings along its highways. The frequency of these incidents has left citizens living in fear and uncertainty, as the perpetrators behind these crimes continue to evade justice. Vulnerable Targets Travellers, especially those commuting on remote or less-travelled roads, have become easy targets for these criminal elements. The lack of proper security measures and surveillance on these highways further exacerbates the risk faced by individuals using these routes. Impact on Society The spate of kidnappings not only poses a direct threat to the safety and security of Nigerians but also has broader implications for the country's social fabric. Families are torn apart, livelihoods are disrupted, and trust in law enforcement erodes as these incidents persist. Government Response While the Nigerian government has taken steps to a

Biafra: Buhari Told To Release Nnamdi Kanu Immediately, Stop Destruction Of South-East.

Biafra: Buhari Told To Release Nnamdi Kanu Immediately, Stop Destruction Of South-East. Human Rights Writers Association of Nigeria, HURIWA, on Sunday, said President Muhammadu Buhari and his administration must release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu forthwith, and stop “long term destruction of the South-East”. HURIWA, in a statement by its National Coordinator, Comrade Emmanuel Onwubiko, said the “abduction” and perennial detention of Kanu since he was brought back to Nigeria in June 2021 were illegal and inconsistent with international human rights practices. HURIWA dismissed the verdict of Justice Binta Nyako, which it said offends international law and international human rights law. The rights group said since Kenya denied any involvement in the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu in its jurisdiction, his abduction remained irregular and illegal “because if a judge sees White and tries to call it Black, it is in the self enlightened inte

Kanu’s mother died of affliction —MASSOB

Kanu’s mother died of affliction —MASSOB Owerri The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, led by Mazi Uchenna Madu, yesterday linked the death of Sally Okwu Kanu,  mother of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, to affliction suffered within the time of her Biafra struggle. In a statement to newsmen in Owerri, by the MASSOB, National Director of Information, Edeson Samuel, added that her demise would motivate Biafrans to double their efforts for the actualization of the Biafra republic. He recalled that most of the Biafran freedom fighters could trace the story leading to the death of their mothers from the time they were “incarcerated” starting from Ralph Uwazuruike, Uchenna Madu, Nnamdi Kanu, and many others. MASSOB narrated:  “The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) mourns the death of Lolo Sally Okwu Kanu, the mother of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (Leader of IPOB). The announ

THE ECONOMIC STRANGULATION OF BIAFRALAND AND THE DECEIT OF IGBO PRESIDENCY

THE ECONOMIC STRANGULATION OF BIAFRALAND AND THE DECEIT OF IGBO PRESIDENCY  In a desperate bid by the Nigerian State to completely wreck the economic developmental growth of the indigenous Biafran population who are forcefully caged in the Nigerian contraption, the federal government has relentlessly being churning out despotic policies aimed totally and permanently, at mortgaging the future of Biafra citizens. Though some questions could prop up regarding what the Governors within the South-East and South-South regions are realistically doing to effect positive changes in the lives of the people but instead, these self-serving political merchants have surreptitiously been aiding the Nigerian oppressive government to kill, maim and subject their people to misery and strangulation. Words will not suffice to fully describe the level of the dastardly effects the obnoxious economic and political policies of the Nigerian government, have meted on Biafrans over the years. This

I CHOOSE MY PEOPLE,HUASA/FULANI OVER NIGERIA. Tukur Danmuazu:Wrote

I CHOOSE MY PEOPLE OVER NIGERIA. I believe Igbo should have their Biafra because I find no single positive reason why we must live as one nation while other people closer to us than the Igbo are having separate nations. As a man without colonial mentality, I do not allow colonial hangover to becloud my reason. There is already Biafra. No Hausa/Fulani dares dream of going to the east for whatever reason. So where is the One Nigeria? Is it not better to make the separation formal so that we can trade freely and and even send ambassadors? Can't you see how we ralate with Niger Republic, Cameroon, Ghana, Chad and Benin Republic? We related with some of them for ages even before we know the Igbo. What is wrong if strangers, Igbos, have their seprate nation like our old friends in Niger Rep, Ghana, Chad etc do? For a hundred years past we have lived in mutual suspicion and bitterness with this strangers, sometimes leading to carnage. Why must we live as some dead colonial maste

WHY NIGERIA MUST DISINTEGRATE INTO BIAFRA AND OTHER NATIONS

WHY NIGERIA MUST DISINTEGRATE INTO BIAFRA AND OTHER NATIONS The recent news that the current Northern Nigerian governors met and warned against the division/ dissolution of Nigeria, agitates all freedom loving people, particularly Biafrans because they (Northern Nigeria governors) and their hirelings cannot decide for the Indigenous People of Nigeria if Nigeria should be divided or not. They are the  problem of Nigeria and have held Biafrans and other indigenous people of the country down against their wish since the creation of this contraption to serve British economic interests since 1914, which was re-legitimised in 1960 during it's flag independence. What's more ? The Northern elites have run the country exclusively by itself or it's southern stooges with the exception of the brief period of President Goodluck Jonathan, to the economic misery of the hapless citizens. Biafrans who are the major producers of the economic resources that sustain the contraption,

My Response To David Cameron’s Claims

The immediate formal President of federal republic of Nigeria  I read the comments by former British Prime Minister, David Cameron, in his new book, For the Record, in which he accused me and the Nigerian Government, which I headed, of corruption and rejecting the help of the British Government in rescuing the Chibok Girls, who were kidnapped on April 14, 2014. It is quite sad that Mr. Cameron would say this because nothing of such ever occurred. As President of Nigeria, I not only wrote letters to then Prime Minister David Cameron, I also wrote to the then US President, Barrack Obama, and the then French President, François Hollande, as well as the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, appealing to them for help in rescuing the Chibok Girls. How could I write to appeal for help and then reject the very thing I appealed for? Also, history contradicts Mr. Cameron. On March 8, 2012, when the same Boko Haram linked terrorists abducted a British expatriate na

How Nigeria Government Requested For Mass-Shooting Of Protesting IPOB Activists In South Africa

Written By Paul Ihechi Alagba For Family Writers Press International . Nigeria's High Commissioner to South Africa has been fingered as the architect of the mass-shooting of members of the Indigenous People Of Biafra during a town hall meeting attended by Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari in South Africa on Thursday October 3, 2019. Eye witness reports gathered by Family Writers Press confirmed that dozens of IPOB members were wounded and one person arrested, as the activists protested against the reported impersonation of Nigeria president, Muhammadu Buhari by one Sudanese 'Jubril Al-Sudani', as well as the persistent extrajudicial killings and incarceration of innocent people across Nigeria. The protest which was largely peaceful quickly spiraled into chaos as Nigeria ambassador approached South African government and security officials and solicited for the use of brute force to stop the protesters. "We were doing our peaceful thing, t

THE RISE AND FALL OF THE NORTHERN/FULANI REGION OF NIGERIA

NORTHERN FULANI CALIPHATE . The genocidal orgy of violent killing of Biafrans started way back in 1945 by the murderous Fulanis in their crave for Islamic conquest and dominance of all residents especially within the Northern part of this unworkable entity called Nigeria. This they relentlessly maintained over the years prior to the so-called independence of Nigeria in 1960. Their claim of right of ownership to the Nigerian contraption as their forefathers estate, intermittently stirred up the jihadistic/cannibalistic instinct in them across Nigeria against Biafrans who were being killed and their properties/means of livelihood worth fortunes, wantonly destroyed. Biafrans were maimed and extra-judicially killed as sacrificial lambs in their thousands at any slightest religious or political uprisings not caused by them within the Northern/Western parts of Nigeria, without recourse. This spate of unprovoked gruesome killings perpetrated against the same group of persons (tribe)

#THE 3 GALLANT BIAFRAN HIGH SCHOOL BOYS THAT DISGRACED COLONEL OBASANJO DURING THE NIGERIA - BIAFRA WAR ! 50 years after Corporal Nwafor :

THE NIGERIA - BIAFRA WAR ! F ifty years ago, a young man fighting on the side of Biafra during the Civil War entered record books when a Saladine Armoured tank was named after him, post humous. Corporal Nwafor, of B Company, 29 Battalion, 54 Brigade under 11 Division became a dead hero among his people. It was June 30, 1968. Brothers, Nigeria and Biafra, were at war. Federal troops were advancing to Onitsha from Enugu, shelling and firing from tanks. At Ugwu Nwasike, Ogidi, about 20 kilometres to the commercial town, the overwhelmed Biafrans were almost giving up when Nwafor hit target. He fired the only anti tank weapon available to the entire brigade, a 73mm bazooka and it hit an advancing saladine. A second tank which tried to engage reverse gear fell into a ditch. The Biafrans tried to retrieve the tanks in a bloody fight that ensued. In the process, Nwafor, lost his life. Biafra gained the weapons of mass destruction. The saladine was named Corporal

RUGA SETTLER COLONIALISM; THE IRISH HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE

RUGA SETTLER COLONIALISM; THE IRISH HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE Between 1536 to 1691, the Republic of Ireland was conquered and annexed into the United Kingdom by the King of England as part of the colonies of the English. The Irish were a different Ethnic group completely different from the English in culture, language and ancestry. Even though the Irish and the English had the same religion which was Christianity they belonged to different christian sects.  The Irish were Catholics while the English were  Protestants. The first thing that was done by the English to make sure that the conquest of Ireland was permanent was to import Settlers from England and Scotland who were majorly Protestants into Ireland. They gave the new settlers one fifth of Irish land. When the Irish people revolted, the English crown responded with force and awarded four-fifth of the land to the Scottish and English settlers. This made many Irish peasants to migrate to America, many became destitute an

IPOB PRESS RELEASE 23/09/2019

t IPOB PRESS RELEASE 23/09/2019   We  understand and respect the legitimate yearning of the public to know what transpired between IPOB delegation to the United Nations in Geneva led by our able leader and prophet Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the staff of the various agencies of the UN we met and had fruitful discussions with. Without divulging very sensitive details that may undermine confidence and future discussions such as the one we just had, it will be prudent to say at this time that the meetings went very well and in some instances surpassed our expectations. It can be said that what transpired between IPOB delegation and the UN official is a matter of utmost trust and confidentiality governed by mutual respect. But let say this if it will help: our case is now before the various specialised UN agencies or working groups with specialty in various specific monumental human rights abuses systematically perpetrated against Biafrans and other vulnerable individuals and groups in N

Biafra: Ohanaeze backs IPOB, MASSOB

Ohanaeze From Chidi Nnadi, Enugu The apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has expressed its unflinching support for agitation for a sovereign state of Biafra. The organisation announced its backing at a press conference organised by its Secretary General, Dr Joe Nworgu even as Ohanaeze revealed it was set hand over to new national officers in January after election and to confirm the ban placed on the youth wing of the organisation. Nworgu said that the continued marginalisation of the Igbo has made the agitation for the state of Biafra inevitable, saying that Igbo adults are as disgruntled as the youths who are leading in the agitation for Biafra. He said Ohanaeze had not condemned the Biafran agitation by the youths, asking “why should we condemn what is true?” According to him,“the difference is that while the parent body is preaching patience, the youths don’t have time for such; youths must be youths, so they are responding in their own ways. But the probl
